Well, we just got back home from dropping Jeff off at the airport. It was very difficult to say goodbye, but everyone was strong. His side of the bed never looked so empty; it's so clean! :o) We all notice how quiet it is around here, and it feels as though he'll be walking through that front door any minute now.
Even though this may be difficult for all of us, we are able to receive comfort through the priesthood blessings that Jeff and his brother, David, gave to us last night. This will be a trying time in our lives, but we know we'll be better for it.
We should be getting a call sometime this evening when Jeff makes it to Houston, TX. He will be there for one week before he goes to Baghdad.
